Finally, a Fable long thought dead is promised to return to life. Fables deals with many different versions of folklore and legend, so it may be some representation of New York City itself that is on the warpath to avenge Geppetto's attack on Manhattan, flipping the original series' core conceit of its characters taking refuge in the mundane world. Dark, the embodiment of all that is malign and corrupt, was killed by the North Wind, Bigby Wolf's father, in an ultimate act of self-sacrifice, and Frau Totenkinder, a powerful, child-killing witch who sided with Rose Red in her revolt, was also killed by Cinderella in issue #150.
